Student Edition technical help

You have reached this page because you received this error message:

 

 

The program has tried to download and unzip a file, overwriting a file that was installed on your machine when you installed the program, but has not been able to do so.  This might be because the program was installed by someone with greater admin rights than the current user - or, if you installed the program yourself, you may not have complete admin rights over the machine.

 

You should try uninstalling the program and reinstalling to your "My Documents" (PC) or "Documents" area, over which you ought to have full control.  Alternatively, ensure you have full admin rights, then uninstall and reinstall the program.

 

Further technical help

If Dynamic Learning cannot connect to the Internet, extra configuration of your security software may be required. Please ensure that your firewall allows both the applications, “Start DL Student” and “DL Student”, to access the following domains. Not all are web sites so a “Page not found” error is not relevant:

All connections are via HTTP Port 80. It is not possible to configure Dynamic Learning to use a proxy server or a different port. It is unlikely that you will be able to use the Student Edition within your school; neither are you licensed to do so.
